Castlink collects the information needed to create, operate, support, secure, and bill private live-streaming events. We do not sell personal information.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe may collect and process card details, billing information, fraud signals, and transaction data under its own terms and privacy policy. Castlink receives payment status and transaction identifiers needed to fulfil purchases and extensions.
Castlink uses cloud and streaming providers to operate live events. Technical data may pass through infrastructure providers as needed for streaming, authentication, logging, security, and delivery.
Castlink may use a transactional email provider to send event links, extension confirmations, and support emails. Email addresses and message content are shared only as needed to deliver those emails.
Viewers generally do not need accounts. However, opening a watch link may create technical session records used for viewer limits, troubleshooting, security, and usage summaries. Castlink does not provide a public viewer directory.
Castlink does not intentionally record streams in this MVP. Hosts control what they broadcast. We may still process technical metadata and logs related to the stream. If reports, legal requests, or safety issues arise, we may preserve relevant event records and logs.
We share information with service providers only as needed to operate Castlink, including payment processors, cloud infrastructure, streaming services, email providers, and support/security tooling. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse, or to enforce our Terms.
We keep event records, transaction metadata, technical logs, support records, and usage summaries only as long as reasonably needed for operations, accounting, security, legal compliance, and dispute handling. Retention periods may vary by data type.
We use technical and organisational measures to protect event links, credentials, and logs. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure. Hosts should keep broadcast links and OBS tokens private.
You can choose who receives watch links. You can request help with event records or email resend issues through the platform operator. Where applicable law gives you access, correction, deletion, or complaint rights, we will respond as required.
Some providers may process data outside New Zealand. By using Castlink, you understand that data may be processed where our infrastructure, payment, email, and streaming providers operate.
